Its Christmas,

I can't believe how quick this year has gone. This time last year I had purchased my new canon dslr and studio equipment and was learning how to use them, it was so different from my olympus dslr and I must say I am very glad I did change. I was also a mum to a 6 week old and had loads of fun photographing my new little model and her big sister.
This year has flown by and I have come so far in just a year. I have moved from the continuos lightening to flash (which I love so much they are great and I have no idea why I was scared of flash before maybe it was just the price tag that scared me), and even my pictures have changed so much for the better and like photography you never stop learning, I just love this as a job and even though their is so much more than just taking the photos on the day theirs the hours of creative editing in some cases to give the clients something different, all of the admin and marketing etc its so much fun learning it all.

I have been very busy since the last time I have wrote, I have had some lovely little newborns (some of them a bit bigger than the normal little ones I have had in), I have photographed some lovely families and children as well as a lovely couple who I photographed their engagement shoot and have their wedding to look forward to next year. I have been on a buying mission it feels to get some new props in and new backdrop and floor to give some pictures a different feel and I have also booked into a newborn workshop at the end of January which I am really looking forward too. So If you are due February, March or April please get in touch to get you session booked, I will be doing special offers and looking for one newborn in February and March to have a free shoot and 5 images on a disc (any extras will be at current rates).

The month of december I am taking off from shoots and after editing all (which I have finished now), I will be taking a little time off till the new year to spend some time with family and try to get some of my personal editing done and have a little photo shoot dedicated just to my girls, which I havent really done a full session just for them, I got in to this for them and it feels like I have been leaving them out with it, I have been creating beautiful pictures for everyone else to treasure but none for me.

I will leave you for now before I ramble on any further with a few pictures.

If I don't write again I hope you all have a fantastic christmas and new year and that the big jolly guy (santa) brings you all some lovely gifts.

Wow my last post was months ago - Did you miss me

I am so sorry again I have been to busy to blog and forgotten all about my readers, I have made a promise to myself that I will blog more and let you know whats been going on, since last time I have been very busy photographing some very new little babies, two of them are very special as they are my new little neices, and all are very beautiful.

Since it is still my first year of going, I have been trying to build up my business as well as be a mummy of two little girls of my own, and even though its hard work I have loved every minute, capturing precious photos for my clients to treasure forever and also capturing the moments of my girls growing up, I cant believe how quick this year has gone by 11 months ago I was still pregnant and and waiting for my very own baby to arrive, and now she is very mobile and into everything and its almost her 1st birthday. It will be time for me soon to create a very special photobook for her first year full of her precious moments and see how quickly they change. I was looking through some of the photos the other day of when she was a newborn and she looks so different, I cant believe that she was so tiny. Photos are def the way to go to remember these moments and it will be something to pass down to her when she is older to treasure and show her children.

I also at the weekend had a shoot with some very gorgeous girls and a lovely young man, we went and did an on location shoot which was loads of fun and we got some amazing pictures. Here are just a few

Now its time for the "C" word yes its the count down to christmas, I have loads of bookings coming in for christmas shoots as they are wanting photos to give as a gift, so if you are wanting to book I wouldn't leave it too long as you may not get a slot as they are going fast.

If you do want to take a look at my work the best place is facebook www.facebook.com/sarahndipity.photography or visit the website for more details www.sarahndipityphotography.co.uk

Until next time (I will try not to leave it so long next time) take care.

Times Of Change

I may have only been going for a few months but as I am learning more by my new photography friends about the photography business I have been changing things for the better I believe.

I have moved on from disc only packages to prints too as I have noticed in this fast paced life people don't have time to print off pictures themselves or when they do they tend to use cheap high street printers which do not show the quality in anyone pictures. I have found a fantastic professional printer for both prints and another for my canvas's and I am so impressed by the quality of the pictures its a shame everyone doesn't do their pictures justice and get them properly printed. I have also kept the disc packages due to we are a digital age and people love to share their pictures with their loved ones.

I have been purchasing loads of new props mostly tutu's (I think I am addicted to them) but they are so lovely that its hard not to keep buying more in different styles and colours. So if you have a little girl aged from newborn to 3years ish get them booked in for a photoshoot where they get to be a fairy princess. I will get some pictures of my little princess's to show you the lovely outfits.

I have had some great news my baby sister has had her baby a tiny little girl almost 3 weeks early, cant wait to visit and get some lovely pictures of her and mummy and daddy.

I have had a lovely little break away with my family, no where hot just the good old uk, we went to camber sands and had a great time beautiful beach only problem we had it was so wind the whole week we could only spend 5 mins before eating a mouth full of sand so I couldn't risk my lovely camera getting sand into the works like I did once before in Tunisia during a sand storm and totally killed my camera, I didnt want that to happen to this one. We also visited peppa pig world, in the new forest if you have children that like peppa pig its a must visit they will love it maybe as much as me.

I will leave you with a few lovely pictures from my holiday.

Sorry Not Been Around

Hello All, I am so sorry for not being around to leave any blog.

The wedding was two weeks ago tomorrow, and it went really well, had a lovely day capturing the moments that make up their special day. We got some great pictures and thats what I have been doing, edit edit edit to make the pictures perfect for the bride and groom. The wedding took place at the Ivory Rooms in essex, (dont know if you have seen it on the only way is essex) its a lovely little venue shame it didnt have any gardens but their was a little bit of green space over the road where we took some pics. The bride had put so much hard work into her day, she even made the flowers (so very talented).

I had another shoot with a lovely 7 month old and her big sister and their lovely mummy, again got some beautiful shots even though she didnt want to be in many at first she was a natural in front of the camera, in fact they all had lots of lovely smiles for the camera.

As for the business we have decided to move away from the disc only packages and move into the prints and canvas packages, this is for several reason the main reason is that the quality of the highstreet printers is rubbish compared to the professional printers that I use the colours look so wrong when printered on an uncalibrated printer, and I didnt want this to show bad on my work, the other reason when asking people what they wanted and how and when they would print, most people lives are too busy for them to get the pictures printed and would like it done for them to take the stress out of resizing etc as I dont know if you have notice when your've done prints before and they have crop the picture in totally the wrong place and spoilt the print. Thats why we wanted to take the stress, hassle and work in getting them done for your instead.

I am currently on the hunt for newborns under two weeks old to photograph as I have purchased lots and lots of newborn props. So watch this space and send any pregnant ladies my way. I do bumps too, have a bump shoot next week to document this magical time so their will be pics soon.

I will leave you with a pic from the wedding, and remember its never to early to book your photographer for either your wedding or family/kids potraits.

If you would like to see more of my work check out www.sarahndipityphotography.co.uk or www.facebook.com/sarahndipity.photography

So until next time take care.

Bank Holiday Bliss

Well after a lovely long bank holiday spent with family, and enjoying the lovely british weather, its all back to normal, hubby's back at work, Jessica started nursery part time today so I was left at home with the baby Amy and to get some background business work and editing done while it was quite without Jessica.

Got a couple of newborn shoots booked in, hopefully they wont be to late, you never know with babys, one of mine was early and the other late so its just a case of waiting and seeing, but looking forward to the arrivals as I have loads of new props on the way (some have already arrived).

In 4 day it will be the first wedding of the year, and i cant wait, I have cleared all the cards down and started getting myself prepared, I am really looking forward to it its a lovely vintage theme cant wait to see it all,the bride has put so much work into all of the details with lots homemade (a very talented lady). Will post pics after the event, Hopefully it will be a lovely day with no rain (touch wood), so far the weather man has said no rain just cloud so infact thats ideal as the sun should cause a glare.

I will leave you today with some lovely pics from the weekend from tropical wings.

Take care untill next time.

My First Ever Blog

Hello and welcome to my blog, this is my first ever post, so take a look at the about me section to find out a little bit more about me personally and the start of Sarahndipity Photography.

If you like what you see please take a look at my website or facebook page, the links are found to the right and down the page a bit (I think, if I have set this up right).

Well Its been a crazy couple of months in setting up Sarahndipity Photography, as well as the full time job of being a mum to two beautiful little girls.

I initially had lots of booking while promotions run and now we are a little quite so I am taking the time (and the lovely weather to explore my camera and the outdoors with my girls and hubby) before it gets crazy again. I would love to be busy all the time but then when would we learn and develop when you have no time too.

I am looking forward to a wedding thats booked next week another chance to experience wedding photography, and hopefully to get into it a lot more, I already have some potential bookings for 2012 (I do love a good wedding, the dress the shoes the pretty little details and the love of two people is just amazing).

I am very excited about taking all the little steps and the time to make my business great. In the past few months I have found many new friends in the photography industry that have helped me on the way with help and advice and one of their biggest tips is it does take time and not to stress you will get there in the end, the early days are the hardest and there is lots to do in the background to keep you busy.

At the moment I am running a discount for newborn shoots since having some amazing new props and if anyone is intersted please contact me.
