Its Christmas,

I can't believe how quick this year has gone. This time last year I had purchased my new canon dslr and studio equipment and was learning how to use them, it was so different from my olympus dslr and I must say I am very glad I did change. I was also a mum to a 6 week old and had loads of fun photographing my new little model and her big sister.
This year has flown by and I have come so far in just a year. I have moved from the continuos lightening to flash (which I love so much they are great and I have no idea why I was scared of flash before maybe it was just the price tag that scared me), and even my pictures have changed so much for the better and like photography you never stop learning, I just love this as a job and even though their is so much more than just taking the photos on the day theirs the hours of creative editing in some cases to give the clients something different, all of the admin and marketing etc its so much fun learning it all.

I have been very busy since the last time I have wrote, I have had some lovely little newborns (some of them a bit bigger than the normal little ones I have had in), I have photographed some lovely families and children as well as a lovely couple who I photographed their engagement shoot and have their wedding to look forward to next year. I have been on a buying mission it feels to get some new props in and new backdrop and floor to give some pictures a different feel and I have also booked into a newborn workshop at the end of January which I am really looking forward too. So If you are due February, March or April please get in touch to get you session booked, I will be doing special offers and looking for one newborn in February and March to have a free shoot and 5 images on a disc (any extras will be at current rates).

The month of december I am taking off from shoots and after editing all (which I have finished now), I will be taking a little time off till the new year to spend some time with family and try to get some of my personal editing done and have a little photo shoot dedicated just to my girls, which I havent really done a full session just for them, I got in to this for them and it feels like I have been leaving them out with it, I have been creating beautiful pictures for everyone else to treasure but none for me.

I will leave you for now before I ramble on any further with a few pictures.

If I don't write again I hope you all have a fantastic christmas and new year and that the big jolly guy (santa) brings you all some lovely gifts.
